The Ridgway Scholarship

The details of the scholarship can be found here (as well as on the website)

The Ridgway Scholarship offers an opportunity for a student who is normally resident in LINCOLNSHIRE or HUNTINGDONSHIRE (before the boundary changes of 1974) to study for an academic year at the University of Evansville in the United States of America.

The scholarship is usually most attractive to those students completing their last year of secondary education and looking for a 'gap-year' opportunity to study and travel in the USA; although all applications from anyone in full-time secondary (final year) or tertiary education will be considered.

The Ridgway Scholarship pays international air fare, all tuition costs, and room and board accommodation for a year of study at the University of Evansville in Indiana, USA. As a major international scholarship, the grant offsets educational costs of more than $40,000.

The Ridgway Scholarship is a gift of Dr. William Ridgway, a trustee of the University of Evansville, whose ancestors are from this region of England. Dr. Ridgway also purchased the leased Harlaxton Manor in the 1980s and gave it outright to the University, who has conducted Harlaxton College since 1970.
